Coming Up page updated…

…to include these events, flagged by Siggy of the Knucklas club. I suspect that the second item should be Pharis and Jason, not Phoenix and Jason. Autocorrect strikes again?

And yes, I know that it’s the 19th February today, but I haven’t been online much for the last few days.

1) THIS THURSDAY 19th FEB – FOLK DOWN THE TRACK will be at the CASTLE INN, KNUCKLAS! ‘Out of the Blue’ an excellent local band will be playing in the function room. There will be a session in the bar by the wood burner and singers are welcome around the open fire in the front room. Everyone is welcome to play or sing – so bring instruments, tunes, songs and good voices! The Castle serves great food and beer so do come and join us for a good night!

It all kicks off at 7PM when the train comes in! (Tel: Siggy 01547 528223 or the Castle Inn 01547 528150).

2) “Phoenix and Jason Romero at Knighton Community Centre bar Friday 20th Feb at 8pm

American folk songs and tunes from this remarkable duo who recently went down a storm at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow. Jason makes and plays possibly the finest banjos known, whilst his wife Pharis has a voice to send a shiver down your spine.

A huge scoop for Knighton………..don’t miss it!

3) NEXT WEDNESDAY 25th at 8.30pm there is Richards session at the CROWN, CLUNTON (Tel: 01588 660265). Great session not to be missed!

All the best
