CD Review – Cory Flynn

Another review for Folking.com of the debut album by 16-year-old Cory Flynn. Raw, and maybe over-influenced by Dylan, but interesting nevertheless.

Over influenced by Dylan – surely a non-sequitur!

How so? I didn’t say that being over-influenced by Dylan was a consequence of being ‘raw’. Though you could make the case that sounding too much like one of your heroes may well be due to youth and/or inexperience. Still, I was reviewing the CD, not trying my hand at psychoanalysis. Or did you mean that being over-influenced by Dylan is tautological? If so, that’s not an argument I’m going to get into. 🙂
